Open Garden Tours

We are delighted to announce in-person Open Garden Tours for our Members only have been scheduled for the 2024 growing season! This is one of our most exciting membership benefits.

Thank you to our community partners who have volunteered to open their gardens to CVHS members this year. We have an inspiring and diverse lineup of gardens of varying degrees of maturity, which highlight unique features such as rare plants, native plants, water features, irrigation solutions, shade foliage and critter deterrents.

Guidelines for Open Garden Tours:

Open garden tours are typically scheduled for 2-3 hours, on most Saturdays from the end of May to the end of August. Tours are drop-in and self-guided; with either the garden owner and/or a CVHS volunteer available to answer questions you may have about the history, plants or garden techniques that will be observed.

The location of each tour will be announced to the membership, via email, a week in advance of the tour date. Designated parking areas will be marked. Registration is not required.

Please note, all Open Garden tour attendees must be active CVHS members. CVHS members can attend any or all tours as desired, at any time within the scheduled timeframe allocated for the tour. As many, or all, of the locations featured on the tours are private residences, we ask that the privacy and location of the garden be respected, and only visited within the allotted timeframe on the scheduled date. As well, restrooms will most likely not be available so please plan accordingly.
