Linda Gilkeson – Resilient Gardens for a Changing Climate
On Monday, September 16, Linda Gilkeson will be the guest speaker at the CV Horticultural Society meeting. Linda will share how to design resilient food and ornamental gardens to help our plants survive extreme weather conditions. Linda will also show us how we can make a difference in our own gardens to mitigate climate change including designing landscapes to capture carbon.
Linda earned a Ph.D in Entomology from McGill University in 1986 and was awarded the Queen’s Jubilee in 2003. She’s an accomplished author with books covering organic gardening, pest management and weed and disease control. Linda is a regular instructor in the Master Gardener program in BC and is busy year-round giving workshops on pest management and organic gardening.

This will be a ‘hybrid’ in-person and Zoom meeting:
- All ZOOM meetings will begin at 7:00 pm.
- All IN-PERSON meetings: doors will open at 6:30 pm, meetings start at 7:15 pm.
- In-person meetings (presentation only) may also be accessible by ZOOM from your home.
