Grow Ordinary Food in Extraordinary Ways, with Donna Balzer

The CV Horticultural Society is excited to invite, Donna Balzer, award-winning television host, from HGTV’s ‘Bugs and Blooms’, as our presenter.  Her topic will be ‘Growing Ordinary Food in Extraordinary Ways’.  Specializing in Horticulture while completing her degree in Agriculture, Donna continues to expand her horizons as an author, speaker, garden consultant, and most recently, a podcaster. 

From the Prairies to Qualicum Beach, Donna enjoys two greenhouses, big fruit, nut, and vegetable garden, where she grows food year-round. As an author, her book, ‘No Guff Vegetable Gardening’ is a Canadian bestseller, and her newest book, the ‘Three Year Gardener’s Gratitude Journal’, helps gardeners, learn and grow by tracking their personal garden history.  

Let’s pick from Donna’s vast experiences and learn how to enjoy being ‘Extraordinary’ in our own gardens.
