Urban Sized Trees; The Idea of Scale – with Janis Matson

Got a small yard but big tree dreams? We’ve got you covered! Join us on Monday, February 23rd, at 7 pm via Zoom as landscape design expert Janis Matson shares her passion for urban-sized trees that pack maximum impact into minimal space. Forget the notion that you need acreage to enjoy beautiful trees. Janis will guide attendees through the art of selecting trees that fit perfectly into urban and suburban gardens, covering everything from size and structure to root development, colour, and texture. Whether you’re working with a cozy courtyard or a compact yard, you’ll discover how to make smart tree choices that deliver long-term beauty without the long-term headaches.

“This isn’t just about finding trees that fit—it’s about finding trees that thrive and transform your space,” says the society. “Janis brings three decades of hands-on experience, and her enthusiasm is absolutely contagious!”
