NATIVE PLANTS — FOR BEAUTY & BIODIVERSITY – Brought to you by Streamside Native Plants

Streamside Native Plants invites you to attend a tour of their nursery. On Sunday, June 8, CVHS members will have the opportunity to visit the nursery and join a guided tour to learn more about native plants. This is a CVHS exclusive event.

Topics will include:
·       Adding biodiversity to established hedges and garden edges
·       Plant species ideal for lawn replacement
·       Native plants for all the different microclimates in a typical garden
·       Filling nooks and crannies in your already – full garden
·       Bird and insect species associated with specific plants

  • To attend please select one of the following time slots.
    10:00 – 10:30
    11:30 – 12:00
    13:00 – 13:30

The nursery has limited parking and therefore each tour will be limited to 30 minutes with an additional 30 minutes to shop before the parking lot has to be clear for the next group.
Location: 7455 Island Highway West Bowser, BC

Note:

  • 2:30pm – 3:30pm (opened up only if the 3 previous time slots have been filled)
  • Because of the limited parking we are looking for people who would be willing to carpool with their vehicle. If you would like to be a carpool driver, please indicate that when you book your time slot.
  • Purchases made on June 8th will receive a 20% discount (with a few exceptions)

This is a no – cost event for CVHS members and it will be a great way to find out more about one of our local businesses here on the island.
