CVHS member, Frank, demonstrates how to structurally prune a fig tree to allow for good sunlight and airflow, limit height and eliminate branches that obstruct the pathway or are otherwise not wanted. A YouTube video of pruning this same fig tree was recorded in February 2021, for anyone that’s interested in seeing the tree’s changes over a few years (note that masks are worn because filming was done during COVID).
