Upcoming Speakers

All of our meetings usually start at 7:30 p.m., but doors open at 6:45 p.m. for Meet ‘n’ Greet social time, unless otherwise stated. Typically, we begin our meeting with Society business and announcements and then we welcome our Speaker of the month.

August 21:  Dianne Maclean – General Wildcrafting

Dianne Maclean shares her knowledge, as a Metis Elder and Storyteller, about the Traditional uses for common plants and weeds that surround us, which have been used cross culturally for Medicine, Food or Craft for Centuries.

Her passion is for Teaching, Wildcrafting and Reawakening our connection to the earth, each other and our Community. She believes Food is Medicine and Our Medicine is where we are. Let’s begin  a journey of Rediscovery. Dianne will also have some of her home made products available for sale at the meeting. 

September 18: Zac Kregosky of Plants I Dig Landscaping and Consulting. Zac will talk about xeriscaping, the art of creating gardens and landscaping to minimize water use and maximize water efficiency.

October 16:  TBA. Our Annual General Meeting.
