LOGO Redesign Contest

Many years have past with the mighty skunk cabbage at our society’s logo helm.

A fresh new logo design that is more indicative of our organization is being sought—something that recognizes the beauty of the Comox Valley as well as our horticultural pursuits. We invite members of the Comox Valley Horticultural Society to exercise their creative abilities and submit entries for a new logo befitting our Constitution, which states:

“The purpose of the club is to provide education, resources and networking opportunities for gardeners and horticulturalist in the Comox Valley”.

The logo should:
• appeal to gardeners that love nature and the natural world
• illustrate an affinity to the magnificent Comox Valley

In addition:
• if your design is an electronic file, please submit it in .jpg format (minimum 250 pixels x 250 pixels)
• hand drawn entries will be accepted (please submit a photo via email)

The winning design will receive a gift certificate for $100 to a local garden centre and a lifetime membership to the Comox Valley Horticultural Society.

How to submit your entry:
Entries from Comox Valley Horticultural Society members only please. If you are not a member and wish to participate in the contest, we would love for you to join us! Among the benefits of being a member are a monthly speaker series, discounts at local garden stores, and discounts for workshops held throughout the year. Yearly membership for an individual is only $20. Visit Comox Valley Horticultural Society for more information.

Please submit entries via email to info@comoxvalleyhortsociety.ca. The deadline for entries is June 15 2019 with the announcement of the winner to be made in October, 2019. The winning entry will relinquish all logo rights to Comox Valley Horticultural Society and will sign a waiver to this effect.

We hope to hear from you!
The CVHS Board reserves the right to not choose any submitted entries as the new CVHS logo, in which case other options for a new logo will be considered. All CVHS Board members are ineligible to participate in this competition.
